The recent coward attack and killing of 12 people in Paris, at the Charlie Hebdo magazine’s offices has been one more way of showing how brutal such extremists are. I condemn this vile attack of war against civilians! Savages armed with AK-47s against people just sitting at their desk, working.
There is no justification for what these killers have done, but Charlie Hebdo is a magazine that has violated the term “Freedom of Speech” and replacing it with “Freedom to Offend”, touching what is most dear and sacred to billions of people around the world.
Following are some pictures published by the horrendous magazine Charlie Hebdo.
Recently, I was working on-site at a client’s facility to install a custom application on a PC running Windows XP SP3.
I have the (good) habit of always restarting the system before any installation on someone else’s PC. This allows me to monitor the startup process and notice if any unusual behavior exists.
Booting was fine, after logging in I saw the My Documents folder opening up. This normally happens when a change in the Windows Registry has occurred. It is not a serious problem, it doesn’t cause any damage, but it’s certainly annoying. To fix it, you need to check the Windows Registry and make sure the proper entry is inserted…
The redemption period is a Domain Registry period of up to 30 days that occurs when a domain name is deleted after having expired unrenewed. Instead of just getting deleted and returning to the pool of domain names available for registration, the existing registry keeps a hold on the domain name in a what is technically called as REDEMPTION PERIOD. During this 30-day redemption period, the original domain registrant (owner of the domain) is allowed to retrieve the domain name from deletion by contacting their Registrar. This process costs an additional fee.
This extra 30-day period (redemption period) extends the time available to renew expired domain names by 30 days. However, all names that enter the redemption period are
Always have duplicate copies of your most important information saved in a different location to keep it safe in case anything goes badly wrong with your computer.
Data loss can happen unexpectedly and suddenly, often without warnings – computer crashes, virus infection, hard drive failure, physical computer damage, theft.
In this guide I will show you how to create a SyncToy task that automatically schedules backups of your chosen folders to an external drive, internal drive (a different one from where your source folders are located), flash drive, network share, or a cloud service. We are going to use the Free SyncToy tool and Windows Task Scheduler. This guide is for Windows 7 users, however, it can also be implemented on Windows XP, Windows Vista (What?!! You’re really using that??), Windows 8 / 8.1.
Octavio Ocampo is one of Mexico’s most prolific artists.
Ocampo was born on 28 February 1943 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. He is a painter who uses a style called “metamorphic art” which utilizes optical illusions in the painting.
He has studied at the school of painting and sculpture (La Esmeralda) Bellas Artes (1961 – 1965) and at the SanFrancisco Art Institute, San Francisco, California (1972 – 1974). He now lives in Tepoztlan, north of Mexico City.
Ocampo is known for several works in his evocative paintings in which detailed images are intricately woven together to create larger images. The optical illusions fading back and stepping forward as you study the pieces, notice the details, and finally recognize the large scale intention. This is Metamorphic Art by Octavio Ocampo.
Their signature song, “Disco Inferno”, has been covered by Tina Turner and Cyndi Lauper. In addition, Graham Parker covered “Hold Back The Night” on the “The Pink Parker EP” in 1977, and reached #20 in the UK Singles Chart, and Top 60 in the US.
On September 19, 2005, the group’s “Disco Inferno” was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame at a ceremony held in New York. The song was part-written by Ron Kersey, a producer-arranger and a member of MFSB, who also played with Trammps in the 1970s for a time. During the ceremony, the original band members performed together for the first time in 25 years.
How to display an alert box to users, showing additional information or a simple message.
The alert() statement generates a message box with the message you specify, and an OK button to close the box. The alert box takes the focus away from the current window, and forces the browser to read the message. The user cannot continue viewing your web pages until the box is closed.
Display information about the last time your web page was modified.
Displaying the last modified date and time of a web page is important for a web page with changing content.
The date and time information that appears is based on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and it indicates when you last saved the web page on the web server.
Web Designers needing to have a particular page to auto-reload, can easily accomplish such task just by adding a meta tag within the head section.
A web page containing dynamic content (weather, news, etc.) can change periodically. Refreshing the page ensures that users can see the most recent information.
Place a meta tag within the head section,
set the http-equiv attribute to a value of refresh,
then set the content attribute to the number of seconds you want the web page to automatically refresh.
